Noah's 2nd Birthday Day of Adventure

So Jenna and I took Noah's birthday off from work to have a fun filled day with him. We were blessed with such a beautiful day! After breakfast we headed out to the Detroit Zoo. What a fantastic day for being at the zoo and Noah had a great time! We got to see all of his favorite animals... the hippo, the lion (rawrgh!), the tigers and the bear.

We all had a great time at the zoo, we even had lunch and snacks!
After the zoo he squeezed in a 20 minute power nap in the car. Noah requested hot dogs for dinner (an all-time favorite and song he likes to sing from his pal Mickey Mouse). After dinner we visited the Goldfish Swim School. If you hadn't heard, last week Noah was a DISASTER in the swim class we are taking. So, we decided we needed some "practice" before the next class. It took a little time, but he was a whole new kid in the water!!!

We went all over in the pool with no complaints... Splashed and kicked in the water... Slid down the slide a bunch of times (dunking under the water each time!!)... Rode on pool toys in the pool, and to top it all off while I was changing him afterwards he told me "More water dada!". I can only hope he doesn't forget all the fun he had when we go to our next swim class.

Noah was just about falling asleep in the car on the way home after an action packed day! And just to think he is going to see Thomas the Tank Engine tomorrow with his Aunt Renee and Uncle Mike and his big birthday party on Sunday.

What a GREAT family day!
