2013 in Review!

Yikes!  I guess it's been a while since a new post... will try to be better next year (at least for my sake, it helps me remember what we've been up to!)  2013 was a great year for the Wolfe family... we were all pretty healthy, and we had some big milestones.  Here's what I remember most:

Noah's First Surgery
Noah got his tonsils out at the end of February - he had been snoring like Darth Vader, and just not sleeping well, so we thought this would do the trick.  It definitely did, and although it was a few painful days, it was worth it :)  Along with improving his sleeping, he became quite proficient at Mario Kart while he was recuperating!

The Year of the Turtle
The obsession for both boys this year was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  They were everywhere... action figures, t-shirts, movies, backpacks, etc. etc.  They're still going strong, it may continue well into 2014 (especially since they each got their very own 'shell' for Christmas!)

Crazy July Weekend
During the last weekend in July, my friend Amy and I did our very first (somewhat mini, but that's not an important detail ;-)) triathlon in Ohio, then came back for Adam's big birthday bash the next day!  Unfortunately, it rained for both events, but Scott saved the day for the party with his big white tents!!  Amy and I were quite proud of ourselves that we didn't drown (and also that we had numbers written on our arms), and the sun ended up coming out for the party... both were successes!  Adam still talks about his 'monster party' to this day.

Starting School
Both boys started a new school this year... Adam started pre-school at a Growing Place, and Noah started Kindergarten at Dolsen Elementary.  Both went well!  Adam had the advantage of going with Noah over the summer, so that helped a lot.  He's not quite as excited to go to pre-school though as Noah is to go to Kindergarten... he loves it!  He's starting to learn how to read, which is very fun for all of us.

I was really hoping I could add 'Adam potty training' to this list, but it just hasn't happened quite yet ;-)  We have been trying over Christmas break though... maybe by the time he's 3 1/2!  He has always been on his own schedule :)

We're really looking forward to 2014... we're starting on a major house project (the basement!), and are going to Disney World in February (first time for the boys, as well as the first time they'll be on a plane, and in a hotel... should be interesting!).
