The year started off with a pretty uneventful January… we did get what ended up being our one big snowfall of the year, which the boys thoroughly enjoyed...
Noah finally got those braces off after 3 long years in March, and April brought a lot of sunshine (albeit, not in Michigan)! We started with a trip to Florida over Easter...
We headed Up North for Memorial Day weekend, where we also did our annual measurement of the boys in the doorframe. Noah was around 6’5 ½”, and Adam clocked in right under 5’6”, which is where Noah was when he was 11… not looking good for Adam for catching up to him, but I still think I’ll end up as the shortest person in the family. By the end of the year, he shot up to a little over 5'8", so that may happen sooner rather than later!
The highlight of our summer was our trip to Alaska with the Cassatas, where we took a 7 day cruise. We got really lucky with the weather, and were even able to use the pool on the cruise ship a few times. Highlights were doing a sled dog ride, riding a train through the mountains, and doing a few hikes. Pictures can be found HERE.
The boys started school in late August (Noah – 11th, Adam – 8th), and Adam did a couple of high school shadow days (at CC and Father Gabriel Richard). At this point, FGR looks to be the winner!
No major house projects this year, although Scott got a massive ‘tool’ called a CNC… I’m still not completely sure of all of its capabilities, but it has helped with some crafts, so I’m on board!
Finally, here are the videos for this year that we make of the kids for our families:

We hope everyone had a great year too, and we are looking forward to 2025!
