2015 in Review!

Here it is, December 31... time for the annual blog post! :)  I'm sure lots more happened, but here's what I remember at the moment:

  • Adult vacation - x2!
    • Scott and I took our first real vacation away from the kids in April... then had so much fun, we did it again in July! :)  We went on a cruise with some friends in April...

    • ...then went to Boston in July for a long weekend (and to watch the Tigers play the Red Sox at Fenway Park).

    • The boys were in excellent hands with Papa and Grandma Wolfe both times :)  We could barely get them to come to the phone to talk when we called to check in!

  • Star Wars mania reaches a whole new level
    • Even before the new movie came out in December (which we should note, for posterity purposes, that Scott saw 3 times in the first week it was out), the boys were already getting quite obsessed with Star Wars.  Adam was R2-D2 for Halloween (Scott made the costume himself - it was very impressive!), and Noah was Boba Fett - the tough decision wasn't necessarily what to be for Halloween, but which Star Wars character to be!  Our house is now flooded with Star Wars clothes, Legos, toys, stuffed animals, etc.  Did I mention that I've never seen one of the movies?

  • Scott and I learned to like running!
    • We did the Free Press Marathon this year (I did the Half, Scott did the first leg of the relay), and we shockingly really enjoyed it!  We'll both be signing up for the half next year :)  Noah even joined us for a 'color run' this summer, and a 3/4 mile run before the 'Cool Yule' parade in December.

  • Minecraft obsession continues
    • That's enough space wasted on that
  • Basement Update
    • Our big project in 2015 continued to be the basement.  I am ecstatic to report though that we are working through electrical now (I use the word 'we' loosely), and are getting drywall quotes.  We are hoping to finish this spring, as Scott is eager to ride his (soon to have) new bike around this summer!
Finally, here are the videos I made recapping 2015...

We are excited for 2016, which will see Adam in Kindergarten and Noah in 3rd grade (eeeek!)
