2017 in Review!

2017 flew by in a flash for the Wolfe family!  As with most anyone, we experienced highs and lows, but will focus this update on the highs, and being grateful for the blessings that we had.

Our first adventure this year was a trip to Disney World in February (also known as the beginning of Adam’s infatuation with Stitch, which is still going strong to this day!)  The weather was mainly perfect, and everyone had a great time – Scott was still scooting around on his scooter from his stress fracture last year, so that did get us a bit of preferential treatment! 

March came, and with that, so did Noah’s braces (first phase of likely a long relationship with the orthodontist!)  They will come off in January, the countdown has begun!

Scott and I took my parents to Boston at the beginning of June for a Tigers/Red Sox game… we love that city, and hope to go back again soon!

The boys had an awesome summer, with many trips to the pool, jumps on the trampoline, craft projects, trips Up North with Grandma and Papa Wolfe, and of course, Minecraft (this just doesn’t seem to want to go away!)

After our annual trip to South Haven, the boys started at a new school just down the road from us, with Noah starting 4^th grade, and Adam in 1^st.  They both love to read, and are doing great (although that doesn’t stop them from whining about getting up in the morning!)

Fall came, and Scott’s massive beard continued to grow, becoming a source of many jokes!  After completing the Detroit Free Press Half Marathon in October, he finally shaved it off… in the meantime, he had also lost about 50 pounds, so it was like seeing a whole new person!  Although he successfully ran the whole Half, he also suffered a stress ‘injury’ to his other leg.  Luckily, it is not as bad as the fracture last year, and he is recovering much faster.

And finally, the biggest news… after a long 4 years of hard work, the basement is just about complete!!  We are so excited to start hanging out down there, and would love visitors any time!
